ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) President Cao Kanyu announced the company will launch a new generation of data center server memory chips using 4F² architecture by the end of the year. The technology uses vertical surround gate stacked transistors to reduce leakage, as CXMT’s DRAM market share rose from 4% last year to 10% in Q2. Following the news, Samsung and SK Hynix fell over 7% in Korean trading, while Micron closed down 4%.
