France’s National Assembly Finance Committee rejected the revenue portion of the 2027 budget bill by a 31-3 vote, invalidating crypto tax amendments including an exit tax on crypto assets and a tax on stablecoin conversions. The amendments, which also covered self-hosted wallet reporting requirements, must be resubmitted, with the Assembly set to vote again on the revenue section on October 20 and the full bill on November 17.
